The first certificate of the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce and Industry dates back to 27 September 1956, certifying the start of Augusto Barel's activity in the glass, mirrors and metals sector.
The staff initially employed was 5 production units, and gradually grew following the company's development.
Augusto Barel and his wife Wilma from "good entrepreneurs" realized that the furniture industry was experiencing a very important growth, therefore they reduced the processing of glass and crystals and implemented the work in the field of furniture and in particular in forged iron ; making the Barel brand increasingly synonymous with quality and guarantee become more and more known.
They were years of great growth, the BAREL company, now specialized in the production of iron and brass beds, had conquered the national market thanks to its professional seriousness. Each region of Italy had its sales managers who proposed beds and furnishing accessories to the most qualified furniture manufacturers.
The Milan Furniture Fair increased company visibility, new markets opened up, France, England, Germany and Greece in Europe, Russia, United States, sales channels that opened to the taste of the beauty of the "Made in Italy" of work done to perfection.
In 2003 Augusto and Wilma Barel left the company in safe hands, the sons Oscar and Igor grew up in the company and used to feel the scent of forged iron, matured in the concept of work and the search for beauty intended as design to propose to customers.
From the first months of 2012 the company is managed by a single helmsman: Oscar Barel, who relies on the collaboration of a team of qualified professionals, but above all the young sons Veronica and Rodolfo proud and aware of wanting to continue the teaching received from their grandparents in the sign of continuity and respect for traditions in the processing of forged iron.
Precisely because of this sense of continuity at the entrance of the company, in the atrium, there are the portraits of the Founder and his Lady, a silent presence; they are in their company and supervise the activity, they share designs and plans for the future. A soothing presence.
