Inspired by 50’s style armchairs, Fiftypop downplays their typical gravitas through various elements: the shape of the backrest and the seat are tapered to confer a slender, dynamic look, while the fabric upholstery (panno Casentino) is a hardwearing wool in bright yellow of extremely ancient tradition. In fact, dating back to Etruscan times, it originates from the Tuscan area of Casentino where the traditional production of humble cloths has been passed down through the centuries to the present day, and is even sought after by prestigious fashion houses.
The intrinsic value of Fiftypop lies in its fine workmanship and details: it is produced using iron springs, deriving from the traditional artisanal craft, a leather piping on the seat and back, the bicoloured wood of the legs in solid Canaletto walnut and dark-stained solid oak, the armrest with its contrastingly coloured leather and hide inserts. All contribute to visibly enhancing a contemporary, comfortable and functional chair which is well suited to intense use and to all consumer targets.
