View all250 YEARS OLD BUT NEW
How attractive sustainability can look, is shown by BARBAROSSA table. A table top made out of old oak beams that are well over 250 years old (at least). These wooden beams come out of old traditional half-timbered houses that couldn‘t be saved anymore and where they have resisted the German wind and weather for centuries. So once reused and reshaped into a piece of furniture one can truly speak of sheer recycling. The table top is well crafted, but the raw robust optics of the old beams remain, such as the cracks and knots of the original oak. The carrying frame underneath is made out of raw solid steel and gives a characteristic contrast to the archaic look of the table.
