View allThe brancusi table has the particular merit of being created with ancient oak beams recuperated from buildings going back to 1800.
The beams are carefully selected by a craftsman who chooses the best before working on them personally. A further choice is made in the factory and then planed, squared, and assembled with dovetailed joints to be glued and pantographed to create the top. The top is an inlay in ebony, symbol of the research linked to the artist who gives it his name. The base consists of an assemblage of eight pieces in oak, and is the result of the turning process that generates the ground support hemisphere to which the stele supporting the top is fixed. This product, completely in solid wood, displays all the characteristics of a living material.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The base is composed of 8 beam pieces, gluted into a single turned block; the wood surface has ebony inlay. The whole is held together by an internal structure in drawn steel.
